Nandos, cake, cupcakes, and piƱa coladas. That basically sums up my birthday. I'm pretty sure I know what you're thinking: "is that all you did for your 20th birthday? Eat?" So let me clear this up for you. Yes. That is what I did. It was amazing. Judge me if you must.
But in all seriousness, I had an amazing day. I went for dinner with my family, and Rachelle of course because I'm pretty sure she's considered family now, and we all stuffed our faces at Nandos.

When we got home, we contined stuffing our faces with cake

Amazing isn't it? It's red velvet, be jealous.

After spending some time with my family, they all went home, but Rachelle stayed and we, yet again, stuffed our faces with these sexy cupcakes she bought me.

She not only bought me cupcakes, but spoiled me rotten with gifts. So I thought I'd do a mini haul for y'all.

You can never have enough nail polish, am I right ladies?

If you watch our videos, you probably know I have a mild pokemon obsession.

This is the scent of my childhood! It brings back so many memories!

TYLER WARD TICKETS!!!! So excited to see this guy! He is so cool and so talented! Rachelle, if you're reading this, you da man!

I'm not even going to explain this card. It's amazing and that is all.

My grandma has better fashion sense then me. She picked out this outfit without help from anyone. I am jealous of this talent.

I'm not usually a big perfume wearer, but this stuff is so light, perfect for summer. Compliments of daddyo.

Get ready guys! Our videos are gonna be in HD! So excited to start using this bad boy! Also, compliments of daddyo.

Last, but not least, my mom got me tickets to see Wicked! So excited to see this guys! Been waiting years to get the oppertunity. I'm a big musical fan and can't wait to see this one!!

So hope you guys enjoyed this little birthday haul. In no way am I trying to brag about the things I received, so don't take it the wrong way. Also, I filmed a video with Rachelle on my birthday, so if you wanna spend it with me, check us out at
Hope you guys have a lovely day, wherever you are, and let's talk again soon!
Cheers guys!

Was stuck in a rut

Have you been feeling down in the dumps? A little melancholy? Maybe even, dare I say it, depressed? Well same here guys, same here. The awkward transition from winter to spring isn't exactly helpful. If you live in an oceanic climate, like myself, you can experience rain for over 160 days in the year. This means that you are probably quite familiar with the lousy feeling that comes along with this weather. So like probably a lot of other people in this city, I have had to pull myself out of the awful rut that can be very difficult to get out of. After a few weeks of basically doing nothing except working and watching Breaking Bad on Netflix, I dug myself out of that hole, closed Netflix, and put on some real pants. (Unlike the sweats I'd been wearing)

First, my boyfriend took me to one of my favorite places: Fort Langley. Why is it my favorite place you ask? Well not only is the scenery beautiful, the people friendly, and there is a variety of shops, but there is one thing there that no one should ever resist: grilled cheese. Fort Langley is the home of the greatest grilled cheese joint imaginable!

This place has a variety of unbelievably delicious grilled cheeses. The one that I always get includes turkey. Need I say more? Nothing brings up my mood more than one of these sandwiches.

That was only the beginning of my great week. At work that week, (I work in a daycare) it was time to get started on some Easter crafts. Doing crafts with kids is one of the most fun things anyone can do. I started off with finding a basket project online, it was surprisingly easy, and they turned out pretty well.

After that, we dyed some eggs, set up an Easter egg hunt, and I probably ate way more chocolate then I should have...

After a great week of crafts with a bunch of adorable kids, it was the long weekend! Even with a job as great as mine, I really appreciate a long weekend. I was so excited to finally do something fun, and guess what the weather called for all weekend? You guessed it, RAIN! I was so sick and tired of letting the nasty weather get to me. I called up Rachelle and we decided to get our butts outside, no matter how bad the weather. Off to downtown Vancouver we went. We were in need of some retail therapy. We thought that getting downtown would be simple, but when is anything ever easy for us? We had to take the sky train to get there, and ended up getting off at the wrong stop, and basically were lost for the majority of the day. Yes, we have both lived here our whole lives, and yes, we both have been downtown many times, but boy, we were hella lost. Every time we needed to choose a direction to go, we chose the wrong one. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Despite our inability to navigate ourselves, we still managed to have a great day.

After our adventure downtown, we made our way home and parted ways. That night, my family was coming over for Easter dinner. We usually have a big, semi-sophisticated  dinner, but this year, everyone agreed that I should make pizza. It was so great to see my brother and sister. It had been so long since I had seen them last. They decided, what better way to spend quality time together then to take me out driving for the first time. I was incredibly nervous but also very excited to have the opportunity to get to go with both my siblings. I had the best time, and didn't do too bad if I do say so myself. I can't wait to go out with them again!

The next day, I went shopping with my mom and grandma. We had a great time just fooling around in a bunch of random shops. We went to Pier One Imports, Chapters, Michaels, and IHop for lunch. I bought the most delicious cookies at Chapters. Chocolate covered Oreos. Jealous?

After that, I spent the rest of my weekend at my boyfriends house, relaxing and playing video games. A perfect end to a perfect weekend. So, I guess the whole point to this blog post, was to teach you how to get yourself out of a rut. I'm not saying this will work for you, but I am saying to get off your butt and do something you enjoy. Get yourself outside. Enjoy yourself. The hardest part is getting up, but once you're up, you're up, and it's easy. Hope you enjoyed reading about my lovely week, and maybe it can inspire you to get out there too. Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend! Talk soon guys! Bye!!

Super simple Pizza Dough

Hey guys, how's it going?

So when it comes to cooking, I guess you could compare me to a picture that a small child colored: you can see they put in a great effort, but it's not a masterpiece you'd want to hang on the wall. Though my cooking skills are almost non existent, it doesn't change the fact that I love spending time in the kitchen. I'm always looking for simple, easy recipes to try out.

Recently, I thought I'd give homemade pizza dough a try, and the recipe I found is super easy and is basically fool proof, which is a requirement for me. I have a knack for burning everything, but surprisingly, I haven't burnt one pizza yet!  Hopefully you guys will love this recipe as much as I do!!

1) preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2) mix in a bowl:
    3 cups flour
1 8 gram packet dry yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 cup warm water

3) lightly dust a baking sheet with flour, then knead the dough for 10 minutes, if its still too sticky, add a bit more flour. Once the consistency is stretchy but not too sticky, start to stretch and roll it out. You can use a rolling pin or just stretch it with your hands

4) cover your pizza dough with sauce and any toppings you'd like. For my pizza, I used sausage, cheese, green pepper and onion.

5) put your pizza in the oven for about 14 minutes, but for the last 2, turn your oven to broil, to evenly bake the top. Keep an eye on your pizza while it cooks, depending on how thick or thin your crust is, it might cook quicker and you don't want it to burn!

6) eat and enjoy!!

Hopefully, if you gave this recipe a try, it turned out as well as mine did! I thought it was pretty simple and an easy last minute dinner idea. It's also a fun dinner to make with kids. So enjoy your pizzas! Thanks for reading!

Tips and tricks to become antisocial

Hey guys how's it going?

Are you thinking about becoming antisocial? Maybe society really pushes your buttons, maybe you're testing out alternative lifestyles, maybe you just need a break from the annoying people around you. Whatever it is, I'm here to help.
Over the years, I've slowly converted to the antisocial hermit that I am, but believe me, it took practice and commitment. After years of perfecting my techniques, I think I've finally got it! So here we go!

1) Stop using Facebook. It will tempt you to socialize. Switch to twitter and tumblr.

This will help your craving for social media, but stop you from talking to people you may know. Follow a bunch of celebrities and obsess over their lives instead of yours.

2) Take a long time to reply to your texts. This will frustrate whoever's talking to you, and they will eventually give up. It is important to not ignore them altogether, or they will know you don't want to talk to them. This way, they think they're choosing not to talk to you.

3) Get Netflix.

Keep in mind, if you're not in this for the long run, only sign up for the free trial, though, I cannot guarantee that you won't get hooked. Netflix is deadly and there is no known cure for this addiction. So sign up at your own risk.

4) Start a YouTube channel.

(This step is only for the committed.)

Make videos, and stay up late editing them, repeat. You will soon become sleep deprived. Once this happens, congratulations! You have completed the transition! You are now antisocial! It was a long journey getting to where you are now, but be proud! You did it!

Enjoy the long nights of surfing tumblr, the awkward conversations with the people you do still interact with, and the peace and quiet. Welcome to my life! Enjoy it!

Have you ever drank so much coffee that you were so hyped up that it caused you to literally shake? That has been me my whole life. Minus the coffee. Ever since I can remember, I've been a nervous wreck. I went through a stage as a child, where I was afraid to go outside. I remember grocery shopping with my parents once, and just breaking down to tears because I thought I was susceptible to catch some deadly virus because I left my house. Luckily, I got past that awful stage, but it was still hard. High school was a bit better, but After high school has been terrifying. So much gets thrown at you all at once and I've never felt more lost an confused. Luckily I have a very supportive family and good group of friends to keep me sane.

I've picked up a few things that help me relax, and maybe can help you too, because I know I'm not the only one who's stressed out!
1) read. Read lots, read often. It gets your mind off everything going on in your life. I've collected quite the collection of books in the past couple of years.

2) don't be afraid to have a bath. I always hated baths, but lately I've really been loving them. After discovering bath bombs, how can you not love them?

3) sing. I'm not much of a singer, but just belting it when I'm stressed really helps me let loose and get rid of all those negative feelings.

4) surround yourself with positive, upbeat people. If you're around negatives, you're likely going to become one. So surround yourself with people who can be a role model.

5) take deep breaths. 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out. Relax the shoulders, it works wonders.

I still get stressed out over silly things all the time, but over the years I've picked up these techniques and they've helped me considerably. So hopefully, they can help you too! Do what you enjoy doing and try to live light. Don't worry about what anyone thinks and you'll be just fine. Good luck!!!!!

Ps: none of these photos are mine!

Welcome to my Blog!

Hey guys, how's it going?!

Welcome to my blog! Since this is my first ever blog post, I thought I should tell whoever's reading, a little bit about myself.
I am 19 years old and was born in Vancouver, Canada. I have a dog named Saki, and a cat named Baby.

I just started a YouTube Channel about a month ago with my best friend, Rachelle. Watching all of the great YouTubers, such as Pewdiedie, Zoella, Shane Dawson, Tanya Burr and so many more, got us inspired to start our own channel.

So far, it's been great, we're both enjoying it so much! We're very committed and proud of the work that we have put into it so far. I really never thought that I would have YouTube as one of my main hobbies, but now that I've started, no matter how many people are watching, I don't want to stop.

At the moment, I am working with my mom, in home. We run a licensed daycare together. I've always loved kids, I volunteered at a daycare when I was younger and I guess it just stuck. Everyday is so different and I never know what to expect. One day, I'm baking brownies, and making new crafts with the kids, the next, I'm literally washing poo off the floor. Don't ask.
It's such a rewarding experience and I'm really fortunate to be doing what I really enjoy.

Though YouTube is now going to be a big part of my life, I do have other hobbies. If you live in Vancouver, you have to be a mountain freak. Some people ski or snowboard, others mountain bike. Though I'm not very good, I love snowboarding. It's so calming and exciting at the same time. It was another thing I never thought I'd find myself doing. I'm very cautious and have never participated in many sports, but being a Vancouverite I guess I had to give in sooner or later.
Another hobby I have is cooking and baking. I love to blast music and spend a few hours in the kitchen, I also find that calming. I may even post some recipes on here if I think they're unique or exciting enough!

Well I think that's enough of an intro! Hopefully you're not asleep yet! I'll try to write as often as I can about as much of a variety of things I can. Thanks for reading! Bye guys! x
